Households in the country continue to save money, according to data of the BNB. At the end of April the amount of deposits of citizens reached a total of BGN 31.84 billion, or by 13.6 % over the same month of 2011. Compared to March savings increased by nearly BGN 240 million. For the first quarter of 2012 the money on deposit of the population increased by BGN 897 million an increase of 34 % on savings last year. In February this year, the savings of citizens were BGN 200.49 million and in March - BGN 303.43 million. Along with increased savings loans recorder growth also. At the end of the fourth month of the year crediting, which includes bank overdrafts and outstanding loans, increased by 3.1 % YOY to BGN 53.32 billion. Company loans reached BGN 33.59 billion or growth of 5.3 % over the same month last year. In housing lending growth was 0.5 % per year to BGN 8.77 billion. Consumer loans withdrawn by households amounted to BGN 7.46 billion. This represents a decline of 1 percent compared to April last year.
Collective investment schemes managed by the "UBB Asset Management" has divided in their presentation - UBB Premium Equity and UBB Balanced Fund reported a week at red territory, as only UBB Platinum Bond managed to break the negative trend and recorded an increase of 0.06 %.
