The week which marked the end of October and the beginning of November, finished with growths for all four indices. Best presented sectoral BG REIT with a growth of 1.57 %, followed closely by price-weighted BG40 with 1.47 %, while stock veteran Sofix added nearly one percentage point. Increases noted indices' performance for the whole October as Sofix, BG 40 and BG TR30 increased by between 1.6 % and 1.8%. Collective investment schemes managed by UBB Asset Management reported increases ranging from 0.14 % to 0.23 % as the leadership position was again occupied by UBB Patrimonium Land.

In an interview for a national radio, Finance Minister Simeon Djankov said that by the end of the year profits from gambling and the stock market also can be taxed. Очаква се дефицитът да достигне 1,3 %, предвижда се индексация на пенсиите с 9,3 %, увеличение на минималната пенсия на 150 лева, социалната пенсия се вдига от 100 на 110 лева, а максималната от 700 на 770 лева.

Stock indices which we follow recorded a successful week (excluding Japan), led mostly by the news of the serious decline in unemployment in America. Statistics shows that unemployment has fallen to the surprising 7.8 % from 8.1 % in August, while most analysts expected to increase to 8.2 %. This is the lowest unemployment rate in the U.S. from January 2009. This decline is most likely due to the contraction of the labor force, as many Americans have decided to retire in order to prevent from unemployment and their jobs were occupied by other people.
