Last week was successful for the local market. Three of the indexes rose, and the leadercustomarily this yearproved to be the sectoral BG REIT, which added 4.60 percent to its value. From this trend deviates only BG 40 but on it negatively influenced declines in some heavier positions in the index. Trading in the first half of the week did not differ significantly from what we used to see normally, but in the second half we witnessed a significant, compared to our scale, movement which covered items that enter and leave the composition of Sofix and BG TR30, in result of the rebalancing of portfolios of funds tracking these indexes. In markets around the world was also reported "green" week, registered growth rates were in the range 1-4 %. The U.S. unemployment rate for February remained at a three-year low of 8.3 percent and the number of new applications for unemployment benefits last week (351 000) is at a four-year minimum.....more »
