According to preliminary data in March 2012 the industrial production index, calculated from seasonally adjusted data, increased by 1.0 % compared with February 2012. In March 2012 calendar adjusted industrial production index registered a decrease of 3.2 % over the corresponding month of 2011. In March 2012 over the previous month production in the mining industry rose 5.5 %, in manufacturing - by 4.0 %, while production and distribution of electricity and heat and gas accounted for a decrease of 9.9 %. NSI published data from consumer surveys - in April 2012 the general index "consumer confidence" remains at the January level. It is estimated that consumers have some positive change in the financial situation of their households during the last twelve months. The expectations of those living in cities are to continue and the next twelve months as opposed to the rural population, which is slightly more pessimistic than three months earlier. The overall assessment of the household budget increased by 1.0 percentage points compared to January 2012.
For a second consecutive week the collective investment schemes managed by the "UBB Asset Management" reported growths, as in the leadership role this time was the sectoral UBB Patrimonium Land, which rose by 2.37 %.
